The treasure of Captain Flint is located on Treasure Island, a place every pirate wants to go. The story begins at the Admiral Benbow Inn, where a man who calls himself “The Captain” checks n, and pays Jim a few dollars to be on the lookout for any strange pirates or men.
The narrator, Jim Hawkins, has been asked by a few men, including Squire Trelawney and Dr. Livesey, to write down all the details of their adventure to Treasure Island, beginning sometime in the eighteenth century (though we’re not given the exact year).
The local physician, Dr. Livesey, deduces that the map is of an island where the pirate Flint buried a vast treasure. The district squire, Trelawney, proposes buying a ship and going after the treasure, taking Livesey as ship's doctor and Jim as cabin boy.
